We are all parents with small children. There’s no time in the day to read the paper, scan a cookbook, research new parenting skills … and do everything else we try to stay on top of everyday. We are all too busy to be believed!

That’s why I (busy mom, Angeline Duran Piotrowski) created www.MomstyleNews.com. The Momstyle News is your online parenting news source. It highlights current parenting news, guest articles, hot tips and information of immediate use... like quick, easy, healthy kid friendly recipes and quick crafts.

Things you won’t find on this website: a whole bunch of celebrity gossip, pablum, opinions, personal reveries about parenting, things you've heard a million times, repetition of the obvious like "Studies Show That Kids Who Exercise More Are Healthier" (this is Momstyle News, not Captain Obvious News). Momstyle News is real news you can use for busy parents.

Momstyle News is not just a website.  It is also a network of community service projects for the benefit of parents with young children in Traverse Bay Area, Michigan.  Momstyle News created and manages:

The Moms Club
www.themomsclub.net
A local support group for mothers.  The club boasts 50 very active members, 4 very well attended weekly playgroups, special interest groups included a walking club and a crochet/knitting club, monthly weekend fieldtrips for families, and monthly (at least) moms-only nights out. 

Preschool & Enrichment Fair
An annual exhibit of community resources for families of young children. For the past two years the event has hosted 40 exhibitors and in excess of 150 families.

The Great Babysitter Swap
A comfortable, intimate mixer, where parents and babysitters can meet and interview for babysitting situations.

Traverse Bay Tots - Resource Guide
An annual free catalog of local resources for families of pre-school age children.  Printing and circulating 5,000 copies locally.

 

A Little About Me
Angeline Duran Piotrowski

I am a mom and stay-at-home masochist, I mean entrepreneur. I love The Momstyle News because it keeps my hand in the real world and out of too much trouble.

I have two very busy little boys and have no business trying to squeeze my projects into our busy days, yet I find myself with the laptop on the kitchen counter while I cook and I’ve traded sleep for working on Momstyle projects. Such is the life of the outgoing person who is alone at home with two small children.
