BBQ Beef Or Pork On A Roll

Ingredients:
 

1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef or Ground Pork
1/3 C. Onions, chopped
1/2 C. Celery, chopped
1/8 tsp. Ground Garlic
1/2 C. Catsup
1/4 C. Tomato Paste
2 Tbsp. White Vinegar
1/2 Tbsp Brown Sugar, packed
1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
Pinch Cayenne Pepper
1 1/4 C. Beef or Pork Stock
6 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns

 

Directions:

Brown ground beef or pork.  Drain. 

Add onions, celery, granulated garlic, catsup, tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard, pepper, cayenne pepper, and stock.  Bring to boil.  Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.

Spoon meat mixture onto bottom half of each roll.  Top with other half of roll.  Cut sandwich in half for small children. 

 
Makes 6 whole sandwiches.
